Day at the museum - my favorite place to be!

Hi friends!

Happy November! We are officially entering the busy holiday season. I also happen to know many Scorpios so this month is full of celebrations 🎉

I’m kicking off the first weekend of November with 2 events! Don’t ask me how this happened. Well, the first one started with my own selfish desire to check out a new wine bar. So I created a Partiful and tagged the bar, so now the bar AND the guests are very excited for this gathering that I’m hosting. The second one, the one I’m very excited about, is something I’ve been manifesting for a while. These events have turned into a full-blown event planning project. I’m planning the activities, design the brochure and merch, and doing social media strategy for both events and cold outreach to local businesses. I’m very lucky for these local businesses to partner with me and for the guest lists to be completely filled. For a vision that I came up with just a few weeks ago, I feel very grateful for everything to be going smoothly.

I’m going to try to wrap this post up so that I can enjoy the rest of my Sunday before the busy week! All the retrogrades have been kicking my butt, but we’re almost out! Hang tight and stay grounded!

Culture

RM x SFMOMA

SFMOMA

I got to see the RM x SFMOMA exhibit today and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The exhibit was very thoughtfully curated, and felt very personal to RM. I really love seeing RM’s handwritten notes in Korean throughout the space, not just the walls, but also the floor. He also collects a lot of works from my favorite artists. When I saw the Roni Horn piece, my first words (out loud) were “Did this come from his collection?” and it sure did!

I would say RM’s taste is very playful, eclectic, and sentimental. He seems to be drawn to works that describe the mundane, things that reflect “normal” life, and works that have strong stories. He also seems to pay attention to the process of the artists, which is also something that I also enjoy. I mean, it makes sense for an artist to have good taste in art. I really wish more museums would collaborate with celebrities. I would love to see TOP’s collection. He was already a celebrity in the art world when I was still in it, like 10 years ago. Anyway, I highly recommend seeing this exhibit if you’re in SF! And get the exclusive RM x SFMOMA zine!

Fashion

Valkyries’ merch

Women's Violet Golden State Valkyries Fleece Corset

Did you know? The Valkyries won the WNBA Championship! I don’t know much about basketball (more of a soccer fan), but I’m all about women athletes winning! And I love the team’s color!

This crop top is so cute and super wearable. This would make an excellent holiday gift!

Write me a note below!

What are you excited, or fearful, about this Scorpio season?
