Remey’s Inspirations 32
Found some cool zines at a local bookstore
Happy Fall!
It’s Saturday morning and I’m enjoying my homemade iced latte before heading to the gym. It’s sunny today, so I’m going to spend time outside. I can’t believe September is flyinggggggg by. Like, how are we entering October next week?? What happened to summer? What did I even do this summer 😂 I’ve been saying this summer felt a lot slower compared to my previous years, but looking back, I’ve made a lot of changes in a span of a few months. I’ve paused a lot of projects to decompress, I’ve became more selective with social events, I’ve adjusted my workouts depending on my energy level, etc. Overall, I would say I paused/removed a lot of things on my plate instead of adding more, which is very different from my usual approach to life.
There is one new thing I’m adding to my plate: learning!!! I’m taking a few courses this Fall, and although I’m not sure how they would support my career, I’m just grateful to have the resources to pursue my curiosity. Younger me would’ve never thought that I would have the disposable income and time to learn anything, so this is definitely a rare opportunity. Perhaps it’s a gift after enduring hard times!
I’m officially entering a new season in life. Summer was kind of the prelude, with the uncertainty and discomfort that come with change. Fall feels like I’m beginning to embrace the change. It feels nice to stop fighting against the current, and to step into a new era.

Culture
arts and crafts workshops/social hours
I’ve never been much of an arts and crafts person, but lately I feel called to make things with my hands. I also notice that many local businesses are hosting workshops as an extension of their core offerings. As much as I lovee a craft cocktail or a little wine tasting moment once in a while, I believe we need more social events and third spaces that are not centered around alcohol. I also think activities that evoke our physical senses can increase creativity, so I’m very excited to dive into the arts and crafts scene this season!
Fashion
ballet flats
Adidas Jennie Supserstar SQ Ballet Shoes
I LOVE these shoes! It’s a cross between a ballet flat, and a pointe shoe, and they give an edgy, athletic vibe. I’ve been looking for a pair of everyday shoes that are a bit more fun than my New Balance 530. I’m not sure if I could pull these off, but I might give them a try!
